Helgoland

Helgoland is the rock island in the German bight. The Alfred Wegener Institute for Polar and Marine Research has its Biological Station there and the strange tower is their water storage. We were in the restaurant Bunte Kuh (named after the ship which captured the infamous pirate Klaus Stoertebeker). Ink on red paper (actually it was the restaurant´s napkin and I had only my fountain pen at hand), colored with pencil afterwards. 2012 Manfred Schloesser
